Easy Bread Pudding Recipe

I had multiple requests for this recipe after sharing that I made it today on my Instagram. We make it using leftover bread, hot dog or hamburger buns, whatever you have lying around. You can also save bread ends in the freezer for this!

To make this recipe I referenced Just A Pinch's bread pudding recipe, and then made several of my own alterations.

Ingredients:
12c of torn up bread
3c whole milk
1/2 stick (4 tbsp) melted butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon
1c raisins (you can also use blueberries)
1/2 c pecan pieces (optional)
1/3 c brown sugar
3 tbsp corn starch
optional: splash of whiskey

Directions:1. Soak the raisins in the milk for as long as you can. If they're soaked overnight that's great, but if you just soak them while you gather your other ingredients and tear up your bread that is fine too.
2. Combine all ingredients together in a 9 x 13 baking dish. You don't actually even need a bowl for this recipe!
3. Using your hands, knead the bread into the milk mixture until it is mostly but not fully soaking. You want a few crunchy dry bits on top to add texture.
4. Bake at 350F for about 20 minutes or until the top is golden!

To make this recipe vegan, substitute the butter and milk for a nut milk.
