Mom's Art Night In
The first Mom's Art Night In will run from Thursday January 9 - Thursday January 16, 2020
I am so excited to announce that I am start a monthly event... Mom's Art Night In! This is an art / drawing event where you (yes you, who does the stick figures) can have fun creating something beautiful and learning a little more about art from the comfort of your own home.
No supplies needed, no babysitter necessary, just a fun evening of drawing. Each drawing night will be open for one week, so that you can choose whatever night works best for you, and even try another night if something comes up last minute.
You can draw or paint with anything you have— pens, markers, water colors, (even if they are a kiddie set), pencils… don’t feel like you need to go out and buy supplies for this. Printer paper is fine, or construction paper, brown paper, or fancier art papers. Again—you can participate and make great art without fancy materials, that is how most artists start!
I will choose a topic and make a very brief lesson video teaching you one art concept. We’ll share our work and chat / answer questions on FB. Questions like “What color should I make the background” or “How do I show depth in my piece” are all posts our community members can help answer! We can also just laugh and encourage each other in this season where it is often difficult to find time to be creative.
Selected pieces from this event will be featured on my IG page, and you can share your work on your own social media pages too! Please tag me if you do! @michellesolomonart.
So grab a mug of something warm, hang out on the couch or set up at your dining room table, and let’s get creating!
