13 Easter Dresses Fit for Church -- including kids and maternity!

Spring is just about here! Easter falls on April 12 this year, and it's a good time to start thinking about Easter dresses! For many, Easter is one of the few occasions for getting a new dress each year. I'm not saying you have to, I often re-wear dresses from my closet for various holidays, but a new dress is also a lovely way to honor the specialness of this holy day.

There are so many pretty dresses out there this spring, I think this year there's definitely a great selection and my guess is that medium pink will be popular this season. Remember that year EVERYONE wore French blue? I missed the memo on that one.

Whether you decide to go for a current trend or something more classic, I am sure that you'll be able to find something you love this Easter. Especially if you plan ahead of time and don't leave it til the day before the holiday, as I have done some years!

Without further adieu, here are some of my favorite dresses for Easter 2020:

For Women:

I love this light yellow dress by Modcloth. It looks comfortable and easy to wear, and the button down front makes it nursing friendly. It is cotton lined with nylon, so not as sheer as it appears at first. The tiny stripes are so pretty!

This has been a very popular style of dress in recent years, and I love how the flowers on this one are different from ones I've seen in the past. They're extra cheery and celebratory!

This dress by loft is lovely. I don't normally wear this color, but I like how it's like a muted orange (they're calling it Red Chutney) and the fabric is so nice.

This yellow embroidered linen dress by Boden is so lovely. It could definitely be worn after Easter / all Spring and Summer, and the color is so cheerful. This is one of my faves!

This dress is so classy and pretty, and would be appropriate for any kind of Easter situation. Latin Mass? Check! I love a dress where I don't have to worry about fixing the hem or the collar, and this is just really lovely too.

Another classy and modest dress, this one I think would work best on ladies who are medium height to tall. We short ladies struggle more with the mid-calf length, though you could always get it hemmed to hit at the right length. I love the sleeve detail and the mini pleating on the bodice. Very trendy and Easter appropriate!

Maternity

So the reason for this pick was that whenever I am pregnant, all I want to wear is something I can throw over black leggings and a tank top. This tunic dress fits that perfectly, and takes it up a notch so you can have that comfort without looking like a shlub.

This dress by Asos is also super pretty. I love the details on the sleeves and the tiny subtle gingham in the design.

This pink dress by PinkBlush Maternity is so pretty. It comes in a variety of colors (the blue one is lovely too) and looks really comfortable. This one could be worn while pregnant and not pregnant too!

For Toddlers:

This is the dress I'm ordering for my toddler this year. It is so pretty, comes in pink and blue, and the price is fantastc. I love the V at the waistline, it adds some extra interest and modernity to a classic style.

I know I know, Easter isn't about the bunnies, but this is just so adorable. I LOVE patterns like this, this is the kind of thing I want to be creating. This would be the perfect dress for an Easter egg hunt.

We actually have a couple of these for my youngest daughter, and I love them! They fit well and have held up really well in the washing machine. Highly recommended! Plus, organic cotton at regular cotton price.

I looove the vintage style charm of this dress from Boden. The price is on the high side for a toddler dress, but it truly is adorable.

What do you think? Do you have a plan for what to wear this year? Does your family do matching colors or does everyone just wear their own thing? I love to coordinate us all, but not super matchy-matchy just similar color tones. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
